United Way's MyFreeTaxes™ helps people file their taxes for free while getting the assistance they need.

Their self-preparation software (accessible by selecting the “File My Own Taxes” option on their website) is completely free. They connect users to one of two self-preparation software options based on their income. The Bridge

With 50 years of experience, The Bridge is a leading treatment provider in Alabama for adolescents with substance use disorders and for those who need behavioral rehabilitation. Programs available: 

Positive Parenting Classes built on the premise that maltreatment of children can be treated and prevented through a systematic application of family-based parenting classes. 


Elevate - Healthy Relationships are free classes for couples that focus on strengthening communication skills, deepening emotional connections, conflict resolution techniques, and more.

Victory Health Partners

Victory Health Partners is a faith-based nonprofit medical practice that offers compassionate, affordable, and comprehensive primary healthcare to adults aged 19-64 who are not covered by health insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid, Medicare, or VA Benefits.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

  • VITA is an IRS-sponsored program operated by United Way of Southwest Alabama that offers free tax preparation to individuals and families.
