Their self-preparation software (accessible by selecting the “File My Own Taxes” option on their website) is completely free. They connect users to one of two self-preparation software options based on their income. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) at West Regional Library
The VITA program has operated for over 50 years, offering free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. VITA is scheduling appointments for Saturdays from January 31 through April 11, 2026, at the West Regional Library. Make your appointment online at here or call (251) 219-0606.
