June 9-12: Didgeridoo Down Under Show - Aussie tunes, vibrant culture, comedy and captivating tales!
June 16-18: Librarian's Special - Libraries host unique events this week. Check the events labeled "Librarian Special" for themes.

June 23-26: The Story Ship Presents “The Rainbow Thief” - Magic Show, sing-along music, interactive animation, and a dazzling rainbow finale!

July 7-10: Environmental Studies Center's Wildlife of Mobile Road Show - Learn about the wonders of Mobile's local animals!
July 14-17: The Excelsior Band - Mobile's favorite Mardi Gras band will perform songs and share jazz history.
July 21-24: Ron G. Biv: One Shade Off! - A unique blend of comedy & juggling!

Summer Reading Challenge
The Summer Reading Challenge is June 1 through July 31, 2025! Preregistration begins begins May 15!
Visit any Mobile Public Library location to register for the Summer Reading Challenge and receive your reading log! Set a goal of how many books you will read this summer.
When you register for the 2025 Reading Challenge, you will receive a prize of your choice from the options of a coloring book, pop-it keychain, or bookmark AND all children who register will receive a coupon for Texas Roadhouse!
Return your completed reading log to any Mobile Public Library location to receive an entry to a drawing for a Grand Prize Family Fun Experience - $100 gift card to Dave & Busters, Nexus Cinema, or Topgolf! AND all children who submit their reading log will receive a coupon to Bop's Frozen Custard!

Thanks to all who joined Mobile Public Library and our community partners as we kicked off our Summer Library Celebration on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Ben May Main Library. We enjoyed introducing this year's theme of "Color Our World" and celebrating our community with a mini-touch-a-truck, music, fun activities, and much more!
Our Summer Library Celebration is a summer filled with events and programs for all ages and our summer reading challenge at all Mobile Public Library locations!
If you missed the Kickoff Party, there's still time all summer long to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge at any Mobile Public Library, or online with Beanstack: mobilepubliclibrary.beanstack.com!
- The reading challenge is from June 1 - July 31.
