Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

May the Fourth is the most well-known Star Wars celebration, but sometimes the bad guys win. Revenge of the Sixth (May 6th) is a celebration of all things Sith and dark side related. Also join us at Grand Bay Library for the feature film Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005) PG | 2 hr. 20 mins. focused on Anakin Skywalker, who becomes Darth Vader, and the Republic falls at the end of the prequel trilogy, setting the stage for the 1977 film that started it all.

Snacks and beverages will be provided. Tap into your inner Sith and come to the dark side, we have cookies!
