Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Event Details

All aboard! For The Polar Express Experience, bundle up in your pajamas! 

Meet at our train station for a photo booth. Board the express and play reindeer games. Enjoy a merry caroling session and a viewing of the film The Polar Express (2004/1hr. 40min./G). Then, disembark at the North Pole and receive a souvenir ornament to make. And who knows? Perhaps you’ll meet Santa and be the one to receive the first gift of Christmas!

This program is best suited for ages 3-7.
