Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Fire Safety at Home: Stay Safe and Secure!

Let’s ignite your awareness about fire safety at home and take steps to protect your loved ones and belongings! Join us and Edward Flagg, President of the West Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department II, Certified Volunteer Firefighter II, for essential home fire prevention tips and what to do in case of a fire emergency. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on fire extinguisher training on a simulated fire.

Note: The lecture will be held in the West Meeting Room, and the exercise will occur outside on the Children's Patio.
