Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

 Bring your holiday spirit!

Join us in Bernheim Hall for giggles, popcorn, and Christmas cheer at “Fozziwig’s” Festive Film & Finery with a special Saturday morning movie, The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) G/85 mins. Come in your fanciest Victorian dress-up clothes or your coziest Christmas pajamas, whichever suits your mood! Top hats, nightgowns, bonnets, or fuzzy slippers, all are welcome! Laugh, sing, and celebrate the season with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the whole Muppet gang as they retell the classic story of A Christmas Carol in the most heartwarming (and silly) way possible. 

All ages welcome, but best for ages 6-11.
