Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Let's take on an adventure with the Guardians!

Join us in the Youth Programming Room for a family book-to-a-movie-themed afternoon at the library. We will explore a movie based on a favorite book and enjoy activities and snacks along with the movie! Today's feature is Rise of the Guardians (2012/PG-13/1hr. 37mins). 

In Rise of the Guardians, Santa Claus, Jack Frost, the Sandman, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy team up to fight a phantom who steals children's dreams and replaces them with fear. 

 This program is best suited for ages 6 and up.
