Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Let's Enjoy The Story of Ferdinand!

Join us in the Youth Programming Room for a family book-to-a-movie-themed afternoon at the library as we explore a movie based on a favorable book. We plan to enjoy activities and snacks along with the movie! Today's feature is Ferdinand (2017/PG/1h. 46mins). 

In Ferdinand, a gentle bull named Ferdinand lives a happy life as the pet of a loving family in Spain. When he is captured and forced to participate in bullfights, he plots to escape and return home with the help of a group of animal friends.

 This program is best suited for ages 6 and up.
