Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Davidson High School's art exhibit at the Ben May Main Library...

We encourage you to come to the Ben May Main Library to witness the creativity and talent of student artists from Davidson High School up close!

This exhibit showcases a variety of student artwork from Art 1–4 classes. Art 1 students feature detailed animal drawings, while Art 2 and 3 present mixed media projects and duck illustrations inspired by the National Duck Stamp Contest. Art 4 students display expressive, zoomed-in animal paintings and personal senior quote pieces. The exhibit also includes collaborative "Scenes from Mobile" artworks created by all classes. The students are excited to share their creativity with the community.
