Mardi Gras Library Closures

ALL Mobile Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for Mardi Gras.

Branch-Specific Closures:

  • Ben May Main Library will close early at 5 p.m. on the following parade days: January 30–31 and February 5–13, 2026. 
  • Ben May Main Library and Local History & Genealogy will be closed on Saturday, February 14. 
  • Trinity Gardens Community Library will be closed Sunday, February 15 through Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Red, green, pink, blue, purple, black and white, we're coloring our world with colorful movies! 

Take a break from the heat and join us at Grand Bay Library in the meeting room for cool summer movies. This Tuesday, we will enjoy the feature film Harold and the Purple Crayon (2024), PG-1 hrs. 53mins. When Harold lives within the confines of his book, anything he touches with his purple crayon can come to life. Now, Harold wants to take it a step further and draw himself into the physical world. Based on the 1955 children's book of the same name.

Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
