Alabama Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries

Provides safe and stable homes to help struggling mothers and their dependent children to get back on their feet.

This program provides a mother and her children transitional housing while she gains or maintains employment, saves money, receives counseling, and learns life skills such as budgeting and healthy parenting techniques. 

Depending on their commitment to the program, mothers may stay for up to one year.


 Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

Dumas Wesley Community Center - Baldwin Family Village

The Baldwin Family Village provides 12 months of housing stability and wrap-around services for up to 100 single women and women with children annually from Baldwin County.

  • BFV seeks to break the cycle of homelessness and help women and children re-establish and maintain self-sufficiency by focusing on accountability, case management, life skills, and behavior modification.

Dumas Wesley Community Center - Sybil H. Smith Family Village, (SSFV), Transitional Housing Program

SSFV seeks to help homeless single women and homeless women with children establish and maintain self-sufficiency. An 18-unit facility that provides 24 months of housing for up to 150 individuals annually.

The crisis line is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide emergency shelter, Domestic Violence counseling, information, and referral services to victims of Domestic Violence and their children.

Ryan's Refuge

Mission Statement: Stabilization of Displaced Persons.

We are a First Steps Program with the goal of getting men off the streets and into the kingdom!

•Our 1st step and number one goal is Stabilization. We will do this through providing housing, mental health care, rehabilitation, detox, and health care.

•Step 2 is Legalization. We will make sure they have all documentation (birth cert, ss card, ID, etc.) We will also handle legal issues such as probation, warrants, fines, etc.

Waterfront Rescue Mission of Alabama

Our services include free day services for men, women, and families in need—providing meals, clothing, basic hygiene items, bag storage, and mail services; overnight shelter for men; comprehensive rescue programs designed to break the cycle of homelessness and help men achieve employment and sustainable housing; and a nine-month recovery program for those seeking to overcome life-dominating addictions.
