A Servant’s Love

  • Senior Nutrition & Wellness program (SNWP) is a multifaceted program focused on providing senior citizens with hunger relief and healthy eating choices. 
  • SNWP provides nutritious food assistance to income-challenged senior citizens every month. Prequalified participants receive nutritious non-perishable food items and fresh fruits and vegetables. Meats and fresh eggs are provided when available. 
  • Household supplies such as bathroom tissue and other paper products are also given each month.

AIDS Alabama South

AIDS Alabama South works to prevent new HIV infections and support people living with HIV through inclusive healthcare, education, and compassionate services.

When someone tests positive for HIV at our clinic, we connect them with a dedicated social worker who helps coordinate comprehensive care. This includes medical support, financial assistance, housing help, mental health counseling, nutrition programs, peer support groups, and transportation services.

Dumas Wesley Community Center: Food Pantry

A community partner of the Dumas Wesley Community Center, The Joseph Project (TJP), is a mission of Ashland Place United Methodist Church.

  • The food pantry is open to all in need and completely volunteer-supported and operated on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. The food pantry is open from 10:00 AM – Noon at the Dumas Wesley Community Center.
  • The pantry serves 100 households on a first come, first served basis. Participants can receive supplemental food once a month.

Dwell Mobile

Food Pantry: 3rd Saturday of the month at 9:30 A.M. The line begins prior to the start time. Supply is limited, arrive accordingly.


English Classes: Mondays & Wednesdays 7:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. & Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 A.M.-11:15 A.M.


Passport to Literacy: A tutoring program that promotes literacy among 1st through 12th grade children of resettled refugee and immigrant families. Attendance is incentivized by membership on Dwell’s soccer team. Passport is a 12-week program that runs both in the fall and spring of each year.
