Impact America provides free tax preparation services for households earning up to $60,000 through their SaveFirst program.

Call 888-998-2925 or go to impactamerica.com/freetaxprep to make an appointment to drop off your paperwork.

Please bring the following documents with you to drop off:

  • Photo ID (this includes driver’s license or student ID) for the taxpayer and spouse
  • Social Security cards for ALL members of your household, including children
  • All W-2s and other income documents
  • All 1098 and 1099 Forms, if you received them
  • Affordable Care Act statements (1095-A)
  • Tax return from last year (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Bank account number AND routing number, if you would like an electronic deposit
  • Anything else you may have received from the IRS

Also, SaveFirst will help you prepare your taxes on your own with the assistance of their IRS-Certified staff with no income limit. Certified volunteers will be available by email to answer your questions as you complete the process.


Other Tax Prep Help Programs

The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.

The VITA program has operated for over 50 years, offering free tax help to:

  • People who generally make $57,000 or less
  • Persons with disabilities; and
  • Limited English-speaking taxpayers

In addition to VITA, the TCE program offers free tax help, particularly for those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors.

AARP Foundation's Tax-Aide program provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low-to-moderate income.
