AWE Children's Educational Workstation

The AWE Children's Educational Workstations in the Children's Room are designed for ages 2 - 8.

Storytime

West Regional has multiple storytimes for different ages!

Most Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.; Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.; & Saturdays at 11 a.m.

3D Printer

You can submit a .stl or .obj file to be printed from one of West Regional Branch's or Ben May Main Library's 3D printers.

Toddler Play Area

All the Children's fiction books, non-fiction books, movies, TV shows, educational videos, board books, video games, and reference books are housed in this large colorful room.

Toddlers can play in an area made for them - with soft carpet, things to climb, puzzles and board books.

There are also lots of computers for children to use.

Fiction Room

The West Regional Fiction Room contains fiction books, music CDs, movies, TV series, educational videos, young adult books, large print books, paperbacks and video games.

The library's new arrivals are displayed in the Fiction Room

It also has places to read, tables to study, public computers and the Reader's Advisory Desk with staff to help you find your next favorite book.

Teen Corner

In the Fiction Room, this area is just for teens. Find the Young Adult Ficiton Collection, YA paperbacks and comic books here.

Study tables

Get help from knowledgeable Reference Librarians and use the Reference Collection

This room, on the second floor, contains reference books, the Non-Fiction Collection and magazines. Also, there are public computers, a quiet study room and plenty of tables to study and do work.

AT&T Technology Center

Public computers are available all over the library, but the largest number are in the Technology Center.

Computer classes are held here:

  • Basics of Word
  • Advanced Word
  • Basics of Excel I & II
  • PowerPoint Basics

Come to the West Regional Branch’s Reference Department to access our grant collection and to get online access to the The Funding Information Network.

This location also offers a class on using these resources. Call 340-8561 for the schedule and to register.

West Regional Meeting Room

The meeting room has a capacity of 200 and is available to be reserved for public use.

It includes a small galley kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave.
